Nearly everything in this guide has been posted before in one place or another. However, much of it is outdated and I have put most considerable loot spots together in one tidy package.
Since SOE provides us with no mathematical data, I can't tell you that Axkva Min has a 4.53% chance of dropping the energy lance schematic. What I can tell you is that I kill hundreds of high level things a day to check for changes in loot patterns and that I have killed most of these enemies thousands of times to provide the data below.

All locations will be given up to a 5 star rating based on its general value for looting and camping. Everything I list is worth going to. A 1/5 will not be worth camping in all day but is certainly worth a visit when you are in the neigborhood. A 5/5 is either worth camping all day or has the potential to drop godly loot.
NABOO
Weapons Development Facility (POI). 3/5
Must be Rebel. This place is loaded with dark troopers. Your inventory will be full of worthless pistols, but like all other spots, check all weapons before deleting them as they may be exceptional even if they have white writing. You can find 2-4 holocrons per hour here and I have looted a few +10 AA's and CA's (rare though). If you're competing for loots with others focus on the big stormtroopers and colonels. They drop the best stuff. The cave spawns about once an hour except for the Inquisitor and some of the high ranking officers. I have gad very little luck with the Inquisitor. He has never dropped anything worth keeping. Also good for about 1500 rebel faction per hour.
Emperor's Retreat 2/5
The troopers here do tend to drop decent stuff but there isn't much to go around and overt Imperials doing the themepark can ruin your day if you're not ready for a little pvp.

TATOOINE
Krayt Graveyard (POI) 5/5
Hands down the best moneymaker in the game when it comes to loot. Krayt tissue will always be in demand and pearls are your biggest moneymaker. What I do is go out with a buffed team and run our patterns up to 1800m from the poi. An ideal 5 man team would be CM/rifle, tka/rifle, SL/rifle and some extra TKA's or a doc. A squad leader is incredibly handy when it comes to ancients and giants who will dizzy/kd the tankers constantly. Krayts can be soloed. I know a guy on my server that makes a great living doing so. I strongly suggest you don't. It's extremely difficult to drag a krayt what is sometimes 1000m from the nearest harvestor and although a tka can tank and solo a krayt, it takes a very long time. Also get ready for a lot of frustration from big teams who will take loot rights away from you.
Fort Tuskin (POI) 2/5
This place used to be a 4 star. Loots have been nerfed significantly. It is fun to lay waste here and decent tapes and tusken clothes do still drop and still fetch a decent price on my server. There are also 4-5 100K+ HAM tuskens with a slower spawn rate that I'm sure drop great stuff. They are exceptionally tough though so kite them out one at a time and bring a good team.
CORELLIA
Lord Nyax Cult (POI) 1/5
Only Lord Nyax is worth killing. He can drop +10 or better tapes and drops a necklace that is +5 to CM effectiveness. The magseal containers might have a tape or two. Not a great spot but close to Coronet.

ENDOR
Jinda Rigualist Cave (POI) 2/5
They don't agg. The jindas themselves don't drop well but drop much better than they used to. More of a time killer. What you want to do when in the neighborhood is check the piles of debris. They are almost always +1 AA's and CA's but you can walk out with 10 of them in one pass from debris piles alone. +1 to volley fire might be worthless but +1 to medical expirimentation is not. Save the jindas for people grinding XP, but stop by when you're near smugglers outpost.

Marauder Caves (2 POI's) 1/5
Another place to stop by and say hi when in the neighborhood. Marauder drops have also been nerfed. They do still drop decent tapes but there aren't many of them so they're not worth a better rating.

The Gorax 3000 6000 (approximate wp) 3/5
Patrol thatr general area for the gorax. He spawns about once an hour or so and drops some nice upgrades for projectile feed mechanisms. His drop rate is nice and it is a fun kill for a group. Very cool looking. Keep your bikes close. He will commonly take off like a madman when he gets close to death.

TALUS
Aakuan Champion (POI) 3/5
Another nerfed drop rate but still a great place to camp. The rings are +5 to ranged defense. Everyone should always wear 2. All of the aakuan named clothes have bonuses on them (disease, poison and bleed). I have found +10 tapes here. Not often.

Lost Village of Durbin (POI) 1/5
Don't forget to stop here at the old sludge panther exploit spot for some tapes in the debris piles.

Erran Sif (POI) 2/5
Some of the guys here at the bottom drop some nice weapons and tapes. The magseal containers sometimes have dot weapons with decent stats.

Imperial POI 3/5
Sorry for the spotty info on this one. There is a POI on Talus that is packed with about 200-300 rebels. Obviously, I can't kill them myself but it seems like an incredible faction farming spot with a lot of decent loot dropping surface marshalls. I also understand that it is bugged. Aparently you cant get to the last floor, but it's still twice as big as the weapons development facility on Naboo.

DANTOOINE
Force Crystal Hunters (POI) 2/5
This place used to be a 4. Either the entire galaxy is full of it or I am the unluckiest looter EVER. My last 8 passes in soloing this cave have been goose-egg. I have found +10 tapes and holocrons do drop here.

RORI
Borgle Bat Cave (POI) 5/5
I HATE that this is the single best source of tapes (AA's and SEA's) in the game. Have you ever seen a vendor loaded with tapes and adds 50 new tapes a day? This is where they go. At the end of this cave loaded with pathetic one hit kills are a bunch of piles of debris. If someone is standing in front of one of them they are probably using an external macro to loot it afk. New tapes respawn in the piles every 30 minutes.

YAVIN
Genosian Cave -6500 -400 5/5
I was bored of this place in about 3 passes. However, it is loot central. Farm the genosians for cubes and high end sword cores. The two npc guys after the second or third door are what you want. They can drop the sonic blaster schem. The fire spider spawns once per hour and Akley spawns once every 2 hours.

DATHOMIR
Before I get into each location, I wanted to point out that the best means of finding nightisters is in static spawns. They are in an endless abundance near the Nightsister Stronghold POI. Kite them out one at a time. Maybe it was a bug, but I pulled 11 elders out of a single static spawn. I kited them 300m away and the supply seemed endless. I DO NOT consider nightsisters a great source of loot. However, any NS with more than 10K HAM can drop decent to godly polearms and in VERY few occasions, tapes.

Nightsister Stronghold (POI) 5/5
As you come up to the poi from the science outpost there is a cave to your right and what I call the stronghold to your left. Axkva Min is all you really want and she is in the cave. Inside the stronghold is an elder. You only need to get past a protector to get to her. There is another elder in a hut on the left side of the stronghold area. I give this place a 5 only because of Axkva and the fact that static spawn are in abundance in the perimeter.

Nightsister Forced Labor Camp (POI) 2/5
Mediochre nightsisers until you get to the elder.

Imperial Prison (POI) 5/5
DARK JEDI MASTERS!!! Go to the npc inside the prison cell. You must be Imperial. I use my spy character. He gives you three missions. The second is a dark jedi knight and the thrid is a dark jedi master. After you kill the master, cancel the mission with another NPC. THAT IS VERY IMPORANT. You can spawn them continually. Dark jedi Masters have been dropping exceptional weapons lately. A friend of mine just sold a 500 damage laser carb with +25 carbine accuracy while moving and some other killer stats. SICK!!! You can kite them back into the prison where the stormtroopers and ATST's will attack him (even if you're rebel). Or you can just pull him inside and he will get stuck on the fence. Blast away.
